Meet New Friends, Play a Friendly Game at Rockledge

Now that the weather is warmer and the weekends are sunny (well, sometimes sunny), many of us are ready to shed our coats, start having some fun outdoors. Maybe you’re thinking that it’s time for a vacation. However, residents at Rockledge Marietta apartments are finding out that they don’t have to travel far to the resort-style amenities found at many luxurious vacation destinations.
Rockledge will host the Atlanta Volleyball Meetup group for the second year. Designed to help participants make new friends, find teammates and build support for the sport of volleyball, this Meetup group accommodates recreational, intermediate and advanced players.
The sand volleyball court is located next to the clubhouse and near one of Rockledge’s sparkling pools and waterfall. Residents may use the sand volleyball court for free; and there are many games to be involved in during the summer. Read More→
Romantic Films at Rockledge

Just because Valentine’s Day has come and gone doesn’t mean that you have to stop being romantic with your special someone. To help keep the Valentine’s Day momentum going, Rockledge, the premier Marietta apartments located on the Chattahoochee River, is offering romantic film showings throughout February in its 80-seat movie theater.
Whether you want a romantic date night or something for the whole family, Rockledge has you covered. Remaining films include Slumdog Millionaire on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m., Enchanted on Feb. 26 at noon and the Georgia Spanish Film Group’s presentation of Elsa and Fred on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.

Music, Love and Zombies at Rockledge

Do you love musicals? Are you a fan of romantic comedies? Do you enjoy a good horror flick? Whether you answered yes to one or all three questions, you won’t want to miss the showing of the musical comedy, Zombie Love, at Rockledge Marietta apartment’s luxury 80-seat movie theater on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
Zombie Love tells the story of 200-year-old zombie, Dante, who falls in love with a mortal girl named Claudia after saving her from an attack from grave robbers. Dante vows to change his zombie ways to win Claudia’s love. However, Claudia is already in love with the zombie who saved her life.
Zombie Love is presented through Rockledge’s partnership with Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival. Scary Movie Showings in October at Rockledge

October is the best time to watch scary movies. The atmosphere is perfect as Halloween is quickly approaching, the light seems to turn a bit more mysterious and the shadows grow longer all around us. If October is your favorite time to indulge in buttery popcorn, bubbly soda and scary movies, then be sure to check out Rockledge Marietta apartments horror movie showings this month.
The movie showings will be housed in the luxury community’s 80-seat movie theater and will include a mix of mainstream films and Independent Films from the 2010 Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival. Some of the movies include The Village on Oct. 14, Nightmare Before Christmas on Oct. 16 and A Nightmare on Elm Street on Oct. 28.
The 80-seat theater is only one of many resort-style amenities offered at Rockledge. Residents have a bevy of activities available for entertainment including seven swimming pools, tennis courts and sand volleyball. The new 18,000 square foot clubhouse includes an indoor running track, basketball court, state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio and party room with billiards. Shine to Achieve Recognition at the AAA S.T.A.R Awards

You won’t want to miss the 2010 Annual Atlanta Apartment Association’s S.T.A.R. Awards on Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The event, sponsored by NRI construction, Inc., will begin at 5 p.m. and will include an associates meeting, reception and dinner meeting with speaker.
AAA’s 2010 President, John Inman, will be the host of the evening. Inman will present the Food-A-Thon Awards, as well as the 2010 Industry Achievement S.T.A.R Awards.

Fall Fun at Rockledge

Unleash your competitive spirit and bring your A-game to Rockledge Marietta apartments on Saturday, Oct. 30 for the Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off.
Housed at the Rockledge clubhouse from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the festival will contain many contests and games including a Halloween costume contest, carnival games, volley ball tournament and, of course, the chili cook-off.
Admission to the day’s festivities is open to the public and absolutely free. However, you can purchase a $5 raffle ticket to enter a drawing for amazing prizes from local businesses. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Give Back to the Community at the AAA Food-A-Thon Block Party

If you’re looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community, you can help Atlanta beat hunger by joining the Atlanta Apartment Association on Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Atlanta Community Food Bank for the AAA Food-A-Thon. The purpose of the day is to collect cans and money to be donated to the food bank.
The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with a parade where you can participate by decorating your vehicles and floats. Other Food-A-Thon events include a lunch sponsored by HD Supply Facilities Maintenance and a “Hip Hop Dance Contest” with a $250 gift certificate for the winner provided by Quality Recovery and Hein & Associates.
This is a great way for residents of luxury apartments in Atlanta to make the community in which they live a better place.
